Dear Walnut Grove Families,

Welcome to the second semester of the school year. I am honored to serve as the Interim Principal of Walnut Grove Elementary School. On behalf of Mrs. Staci Chase, Assistant Principal, and the entire Walnut Grove staff, we look forward to a productive and successful semester of learning and growth.

Walnut Grove Elementary School holds a special place in my heart. My career in education began here in 2009 when the school first opened. Over the past thirteen years, I have had the privilege of serving students and families in a variety of roles within PJUSD, including paraprofessional, classroom teacher, Assistant Principal at Walnut Grove, and most recently as the district’s Coordinator of Assessments & Accountability. I am grateful for the opportunity to return to Walnut Grove to serve as Interim Principal for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. As we proudly say at Walnut Grove, Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat.

During the second half of the school year, our instructional focus will continue to strengthen Math and Reading instruction. Teachers will continue to collaborate closely and use data to plan high-quality instruction that meets the needs of all students.

I am especially pleased to work alongside Mrs. Chase as we support our students, staff, and families. We value our partnership with families and welcome your communication. By working together with a shared commitment to student success, we can continue to move our school forward.
