Walnut Grove K-6 School

The Walnut Grove School community treasures each and every one of our students. Our commitment to each child is to provide an educational experience that promotes their academic progress in meeting or exceeding state grade level standards. We are in the process of implementing the “No Excuses University” comprehensive model based on the following exceptional systems:

The staff is working diligently to promote college readiness as soon as students enter Kindergarten. In addition, a variety of programs support the needs of the individual learners. Programs currently offered include daily levelized rotation classes to meet the needs of all learners, EL's, GATE, intervention classes for students scoring far below and below basics on the CAASPP Test, enrichment courses for students scoring proficient and advanced on the CAASPP Test. We also have an advisory period focused on College and Career Readiness. New to our Middle School we will be implementing AVID Excel and Arabic Language class in our Exploration classes, and also an Advisory period in the morning focused on College and Career Readiness.
